Champ de Rêves

D. Porthault x Pamela Munson Reading Champ de Rêves 2 minutes

We are proud to reintroduce Champ de Rêves ~ a delicate motif of white daisies on a field of blue ~ and the favorite D. Porthault design of Rachel "Bunny" Mellon. Originally designed in the 1950s,  the artwork was uncovered from our archives and re-engraved for this season in a colorway not seen for many years.

In exploring Mrs. Mellon's extraordinary collection of Porthault linens, art and gardens, we were captivated by her passion for textiles, design and botanicals. To honor this passion, we renamed our print after Mrs. Mellon's wish to "dream every night in a field of flowers." She believed that her most creative thoughts came at night ~ a sweet reminder that linens can both comfort and inspire.

We are honored, too, to donate a portion of our sales of Champ de Rêves to the Oak Spring Garden Foundation in Upperville, Virginia, whose mission is to preserve the home and gardens of Mrs. Mellon, and to facilitate scholarship on the history, art and future of plants, gardens and landscapes.
