For D. Porthault's inaugural Designer Summer Series, U.S. owner Joan Carl hosted Max Sinsteden for Mimosas & Madeleines at Porthault's Park Avenue boutique. True to his creativity, contagious energy and playful eye, Max generously sprinkled his design magic in every space ~ enchanting us all!
D. Porthault's windows at Park Avenue and 58th Street were transformed, and the boutique's interiors were dressed with two twin beds, a soaking tub, and many other surprises ~ all highlighting Max's signature style, sophistication, warmth and whimsy.
Max Sinsteden is a celebrated New York City-based interior designer known for his fresh, elegant, and preppy reinterpretations of traditional design. His projects range from Manhattan apartments to coastal cottages and historic estates. He believes in mixing fabrics, rich color palettes, layered lighting, and a thoughtful blend of antiques, custom upholstery and unexpected details. Like Porthault, Max feels the spaces we live in should not only be chic, but should also be approachable, intimate, joyful and fresh.
