After designing over 300 floral brooches for Anna Wintour for the 2026 Met Gala, Helena Simon delighted our guests with the chance to collaborate on their own bespoke pins at our D. Porthault boutique in New York City.

Our clients sipped sparkling wine and mingled with Helena to choose among several classic Porthault prints for their own custom brooches.

At D. Porthault we have always been passionate about color and the fluid forms of nature. For over one hundred years, motifs from the Impressionists and the gardens of France have inspired 80% of our portfolio designs.

Growing up in San Francisco and summering with her mother's family in England—among the lush gardens of the Cotswolds and London—Helena became equally inspired by nature's endless combinations of form and color. Merging this background with her eye for composition and love of high fashion, Helena formed a company to design and create custom floral brooches in New York.

Like D. Porthault, Helena's atelier used vintage molds, tools, and techniques, many of which are more than one hundred years old. Every flower and leaf is cut, embossed, and delicately assembled by hand.

Using our D. Porthault printed fabrics provided an exciting extension of Helena's desire to capture the beauty of flowers, whatever the season or place.

If you were unable to join us at our D. Porthault boutique for Helena's visit, please feel free to contact us for information on how to order your own bespoke flower.
